Hemp Mulch Mats
Terrafibre Premium Mulch Mats offer a sustainable alternative to traditional bark mulch and synthetic weed barriers. Crafted from Canadian-grown hemp fibre, these biodegradable mats create a breathable, moisture-retaining layer that suppresses weeds, protects roots, and enriches soil as they naturally decompose. HOW TO INSTALL
1) Clear the area
Remove any existing weeds from around your tree or plant. Loosen the topsoil slightly for better moisture contact.
2) Slide Over Plant or Tree
Use the pre-cut centre slit (squares) or hole (circles) to slide the mat around the base of your plant. No cutting needed.
3) Stake in Place
Use biodegradable wooden stakes around the edges to secure the mat — especially in windy areas. Stakes sold separately.
4) Soak the Mulch Mat
The mat suppresses weeds, retains moisture, and insulates soil for 3–4 years. When it breaks down, it enriches the soil — no cleanup needed.
